CAA Plus

With a CAA Plus membership, an addition to your Basic membership, you have assured yourself of the ultimate protection. Benefits are also provided to motorcycles (with or without sidecar).

Towing

In the event of a breakdown or when the following services fail to get you mobile, with CAA Plus protection you can receive up to 160 kilometres of towing per breakdown for qualifying vehicles. There is a seven day waiting period before this service is added to your Plus membership, however, Basic service will still apply during that period. (Note: Collision towing is covered through SGI in Saskatchewan, but may be covered by CAA/AAA in other provinces or states.)

Battery Boost

If your vehicle battery requires a boost, CAA will provide this service.

Flat Tire Service

CAA Plus provides for the replacement of the flat tire with the qualifying vehicle’s inflated spare.

Free Fuel and Delivery

If you run out of gas or diesel fuel, CAA Plus provides a sufficient amount of free fuel to enable you to reach the nearest service station, or a tow in accordance with the above towing provisions to a facility where gas or diesel is available.

Lock and Key Service

If your keys are lost, broken or locked in the vehicle, CAA Plus provides up to $100 for parts and labour for locksmith service. Includes towing, if required, in accordance with the above provisions. A seven day waiting period applies to service with enhanced Plus coverage.

Extrication Service

Getting out of a ditch from an embankment sometimes can be more than one truck and experienced driver can handle. If your situation calls for additional help, CAA Plus provides for a second truck and driver for one hour for qualifying vehicles.

Reimbursement When CAA Service is Unavailable

Any time you need roadside assistance and it’s not available through CAA, your CAA Plus membership enables you to be reimbursed for CAA Plus services obtained at prevailing commercial rates from the facility nearest the breakdown location.

Trip Accident Assistance

If your vehicle is disabled for more than 24 hours as a result of a traffic accident or collision 160 kilometres or more from home, you will be reimbursed up to $600 for food, lodging and alternate commercial transportation home or to your point of destination.

  • The accident must be reported to the local police and/or your insurance company.
  • Costs incurred within 72 hours of the time of the accident are eligible for reimbursement.
  • Claim must be submitted to CAA within 60 days. Original receipts are required for refund consideration and must be supplied with the Trip Accident Assistance application form available from any CAA Saskatchewan office.

Travel Accident Insurance

Included in your CAA Plus membership is $500,000 in coverage for loss of life when travelling by scheduled airline, ship, bus, or train with tickets purchased at any CAA Travel Agency Saskatchewan office. For round-trip travel, coverage begins when you leave your residence and continues until you return home.

Personal Accident Insurance

Included with your CAA Saskatchewan membership is a personal accident insurance policy that provides worldwide coverage against most travel and pedestrian accidents. CAA Plus Members are covered for $6,000, increasing to a maximum of $10,000 by the fifth year, in case of death, loss of sight, or dismemberment as a result of an accident as a pedestrian or in a car, plane, ship, public transport, or farm machines designed to be ridden upon. Complete details of the benefits provided can be found in the policy you received at the time you joined the club or you can request a certificate of insurance from any CAA office.

Personal Accident Insurance Rider (PAIR)

For a low premium you can purchase a Personal Accident Insurance Rider (PAIR) and increase your coverage by four to 10 times to a maximum of $100,000 per covered Member. Your policy remains in effect as long as you are a CAA Saskatchewan Member. If you would like to increase your policy limit, contact your nearest CAA Saskatchewan office.
