What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) makes it possible for people to keep up-to-date with changes on their favourite websites in a simple, easy-to-use and automated manner.

An RSS document contains either a summary of content or the full text from websites or blogs the user has chosen to subscribe to.

RRS feeds (also called “channels”) use software called an "RSS reader" (also called an "aggregator"). The reader checks the user's subscribed feed(s) regularly for new content, and sends updates that it finds to the user.

The main benefit of RRS feeds? Users don’t have to frequently check out or search through websites to find out if there is anything new of interest!
