And the Winner is... Kim Mah

Congratulations to Kim Mah from Kindersley, the winner of $50,000 value in CAA Dollars® and $50,000 cash to a charity of Kim’s choice. Mah, has been a proud CAA Saskatchewan Member for 21 years and is very excited about being selected as the CAA Celebrate 100 Years $100,000 Member Winner. Upon hearing the news, Mah remarked, “I was so surprised! I could not believe my good fortune. Thank you to CAA for this amazing gift. With my CAA Dollars, I will now have opportunities to travel. There will be so many possibilities to explore!”

As part of the $100,000 Member Prize, $50,000 will be donated to a Saskatchewan-based community organization of the winner’s choice. As noted by Mah, “CAA’s generous donation on my behalf to non-profit charities in Kindersley will benefit many people in the community in many ways.” Mah has directed the donations to three Kindersley based community causes: West Central Abilities In.c ($20,000); Kindersley and District Food Bank ($15,000); and the Kindersley Local Library Board ($15,000). “The community-cause donations honour CAA’s history in the province and recognize the club’s growth as Saskatchewan’s automobile association of choice,” remarked Fred Titanich.

West Central Abilities (WCA) Inc.

Kimberli Edmunds, Executive Director of West Central Abilities (WCA) Inc. was thrilled to know that a $20,000 donation was coming their way. “The timing couldn’t be better,” said an excited Edmunds. She added, “We are currently fundraising for a new day program and multi-purpose facility. Our plan is to move to a central, accessible location in the heart of the community to better suit our clients.” The mandate of WCA is to serve and create opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to live a rich life full or quality and enjoyment.

Kindersley and District Food Bank

Linda Resch is the President of the Kindersley and District Food Bank which is a volunteer operated service providing monthly food hampers to local families. “The $15,000 donation that the Kindersley and District Food Bank is receiving will be used to buy groceries and a refrigerator. “Often our shelves are bare, and we know that families need basic supplies such as milk, ground beef, juice, canned fruits and vegetables,” said Resch. “Thank you, Kim and CAA, for helping us help those who rely on our service.” The Kindersley and District Food Bank reaches out to Eston, Eatonia, Coleville, Dodsland, Alsask, and other surrounding communities.

Kindersley Library Board

“On behalf of the Kindersley Library Board, I want to express how thrilled we are to be one of Kim Mah's chosen charities,” remarked Marilyn Shea, Chief Librarian. “I was totally overwhelmed when I was notified.” The Kindersley Library Board is responsible for the operation of the Kindersley Branch Library and the main sources of revenue are grants and fundraising. She added, “We take pride in offering free programming for all ages and Kim's generous act will make this so much easier in the future. Thank you, Kim and CAA Saskatchewan."

“On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff, we are so very thankful to our loyal 183,000 CAA Saskatchewan Members for celebrating 100 years of Saskatchewan service with us. Thank you for trusting us with your safety and business needs for automotive, insurance and travel.
