Personal Accident Insurance

Members are covered in the event of death, or injuries that result in loss of limb or loss of sight resulting from an accident with a motor vehicle, plane, ship, public transport or farm machines (designed to be ridden). Coverage extends to children under the age of 16 living in the same household. 
Children up to age 16 are entitled to 25% of the parent or guardian's base coverage amount.
Complimentary coverage is included with the purchase of a CAA membership - Value and Basic receive $5,000 coverage, Plus and Premier receive $10,000 coverage.

Towing

In the event of a breakdown where roadside assistance is unable to get your vehicle mobile, a

Basic - up to 5 kilometres of towing. Coverage will include tows within city limits.
Plus -  up to 160 kilometres of towing.

Premier - up to 160 kilometres of towing from the point of breakdown to the repair facility of your choice. You are also entitled to one tow of up to 320 kilometres per year of coverage. 

Towing will be restricted to 5 km during a 7-day waiting period for all new memberships.  Additional kilometers will be at the Member’s expense.

For RV membership, full service will be provided to your dual-wheel pickup camper, raised-roof van, motor home, and recreational trailers (including but not restricted to fifth wheel trailers) per breakdown for qualifying vehicles

Note: Collision towing is covered through SGI in Saskatchewan, but may be covered by CAA/AAA in other provinces or states.

Fuel & Delivery

a. Basic memberships receive free delivery of fuel. Fuel is at the expense of the member.
b. Plus/RV and Premier/RV memberships receive free delivery of fuel and up to 10L of fuel for free. Amounts exceeding 10L of fuel is at the Member's expense.
c. The cost of the fuel is based on current pump prices at the time of delivery.
d. CAA Saskatchewan cannot guarantee the availability of specific brands or octane ratings.
e. Delivery of propane or compressed natural gas is not permitted.

The Member is responsible for the cost of diesel exhaust fluid. There are areas of the province where diesel exhaust fluid is not available 24/7.

Locksmith Services

If your keys are lost or broken, or the service provider cannot gain entrance to your vehicle, locksmith service (up to $50 for CAA Basic Members and $100 for CAA Plus and Premier Members) will be provided. Coverage includes retrieval of keys or key fobs that are locked inside a vehicle. In cases where the vehicle can't be made operable, towing service will be provided in accordance with the terms of your membership.

Trip Interruption

If your vehicle is disabled for 24 hours or more and you are 160 km or more from home, you may qualify for a reimbursement to help offset the cost of certain out of pocket expenses, including restaurant meals, accommodations, car rental or other commercial transportation to get you home or to your point of destination. Trip Accident

If your vehicle is disabled for 24 hours or more and you are 160 km or more from home, you may qualify for a reimbursement to help offset the cost of certain out of pocket expenses, including restaurant meals, accommodations, car rental or other commercial transportation to get you home or to your point of destination. 

Vehicle Return Benefits

Premier Members that encounter an unexpected illness or injury that prevents them from completing their trip may be eligible for the Vehicle Return Benefit which provides up to $500 for transportation of the vehicle back to their primary residence. Proof of illness/injury must be provided by a licensed medical facility or practitioner. See Membership Handbook for full details.

Two-Day Complimentary Rental Car with Tow

If your vehicle is towed as part of your allotted CAA roadside calls and you are stranded without transportation - just ask us for help. Each Premier Member is entitled to two free days of car rental (up to a full-size vehicle, and up to $75/day) within your membership year. Fuel and service charges are at your expense. Some restrictions apply. This benefit is valid for Members who are within 160 kilometers of their residence.

Home Lockout Service

Save at Shell

As a CAA Saskatchewan member, you can now save 3¢/L every time you fuel up at a participating Shell station. Plus, get 10% off car washes and in-store purchases as well. Just swipe your CAA membership card at the pump or scan it in-store and start saving. (conditions apply).

Ride Assist

a. Coverage is available to assist Members that are unable to personally drive their vehicle home due to personal health issues, broken or lost prescription eye wear or related vision concerns, and other physical impairments.
b. If you are involved in an accident or a breakdown, a CAA representative can help you make car rental and other transportation reservations.

Bike Assist

a. Coverage includes transporting a member and their bicycle to a required destination in the event of a breakdown.
b. Transportation distance is dependent on the membership towing coverage.
