Many Saskatchewan families are planning for the upcoming Thanksgiving long weekend. With the recent snow and slush in some parts of Saskatchewan, it’s important to consider some safe driving practices before heading out for that annual family road trip.

Let’s work together to keep our youngsters safe This Halloween, children’s safety is the focus for CAA Saskatchewan. Safety for pedestrians of all ages can be scary, but on Halloween night, it can become a little scarier and more unsafe, considering the increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Here are a few Halloween safety tips from CAA: See and be Seen: 

CAA’s September’s focus is on safety in school zones as thousands of Saskatchewan students will be starting a new school year. A search on Transport Canada’s National Collision Database, whose latest data is from 2017, revealed that nationally, the highest number of pedestrian deaths for children under the age of 14 is in the month of September.

CAA Saskatchewan has teamed up with Regina businesses to help increase Regina Food Bank (RFB) donations of non-perishable or canned food items. From August 1 to 29, Regina Food Bank donation bins will be set up at the following businesses:

Ottawa – Canadian air passengers become eligible for up to $2,400 if they are bumped from a flight, but for access to the full suite of passenger rights, air travellers will have to wait until December. The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), advocates of the Canadian traveller, encourages passengers to get familiar with the new rules to ensure they are treated fairly.
