Level 3 Travel Advisory COVID-19 Coverage Endorsement
At CAA, thinking about your health, safety, and security while travelling is of the utmost importance for us. Our mission is to make travellers feel assured about their travel insurance coverage.
Which is why, in wake of the Government of Canada issuing a Level 3 travel advisory to avoid all non-essential travel due to COVID-19, we have made changes to our emergency medical policy to ensure that it meets the needs of Canadians as they start travelling again once it becomes safe to do so.
While our emergency medical plans already provide coverage for COVID-19 related illnesses when the travel advisories are at Levels 1 and 2, CAA Travel Insurance emergency medical plans now also include COVID-19 related illness coverage for those with at least 1 Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine, at least 14 days prior to departure, with up to $2.5 million CAD when government of Canada travel advisories are at Level 3.
To learn more about the eligibility criteria, including the COVID-19 vaccinations requirements before travel departure, please read the Level 3 Travel Advisory COVID Coverage Endorsement To know more about the Government of Canada’s travel advisories, please visit travel.gc.ca.
As always, CAA is here for you in case you have any questions or need any further assistance.
